Interlaken Area Hikes
The famous city of Interlaken...is not what I'm going to talk about in this section. In fact, I won't cover the city itself much on this website because it's not so much the city that's important, but the area surrounding it. Interlaken serves as a transport nexus and hotel spot for exploring the famous mountains, valleys, and lakes in the area. There's a lot to do here, and so I've written about individual hiking trips in near Interlaken and put links to each trip down below. This page will just be a short description of the area.
In addition to hiking, there's a lot of stuff to do in this region, and this might make it suitable for people who aren't as active or families. I've included those kinds of activities, like going to Jungfraujoch, in the Interlaken page under the "Destinations" tab at the top of the page.

Also note, Bern is not the capital of Switzerland. It's the administrative seat of the Federal Government, but Switzerland does not have an official capital.
