The Niederhorn is a mountain situated on Lake Thun that overlooks Interlaken into the Bernese Oberland. For this hike I'd recommend deffering to this excellent guide, and just check out the other information he's written about while you're at it.

    Unfortunately, when I went to go do this hike it poured the entire time I was hiking. I hiked for maybe an hour before the clouds, thunder, and rain drove me down the mountain. 

    That being the case I don't have much to add that the guide can't explain, but I'll mention it as another hiking option in the area. The stated hike is a little long, but I believe there should be a few options to cut it short and head down if you don't want to do the full distance.
